There is nothing better than a recipe that only requires five ingredients. That's why we love these No Bake Chocolate Brownie Bars by the talented Nadia's Healthy Kitchen!!
These Brownies are Gluten Free, Vegan and Refined Sugar Free and are importantly full of ingredients which are essential for good health. We also love that this recipe contains a lot of fibre as medjool dates are super helpful with keeping your bowels regular!
This recipe also uses Tahini which is fantastic for your insides! Tahini contains a good amount of protein (more than nuts and milk) and is a great source of B vitamins which assist with boosting energy and brain function. Tahini also contains vitamin E which has been found to protect against stroke and heart disease. Tahini is also filled with magnesium, iron and calcium which are essential in keeping your energy levels high!
We hope you enjoy these healthy No Bake Chocolate Brownie Bars as much as we do!!
Ingredients
200g (around 13) medjool dates 120ml (1/2 cup) tahini (you can also use almond butter or peanut butter) 6 level tbsp cocoa powder 1/4 tsp salt 150g dark chocolate, melted
Method
Add the dates to a blender along with the tahini and blend until you have an even mixture. Add the cocoa powder and salt and blend again to combine. Press the mixture into a cake tin lined with baking paper – I used a 22×12 cm loaf tin. Freeze for 30 minutes, then slice into 8 squares. You can make smaller bite size version if you prefer. Dip each brownie into the melted chocolate, then place on a chopping board lined with baking paper and refrigerate until the chocolate is set. Store in an air-tight container at room temperature or in the fridge for up to 5 days. Enjoy!
