Recipe: Chocolate and Peanut Butter Donuts by Elle's Hungry

If you're anything like us, one of things you miss the most following a ceoliac's disease diagnosis is donuts!! We were so happy when we found this delicious and healthy recipe for Donuts by Elle's Hungry!

Elle is a food photographer and recipe creator and has a beautiful Instagram page called Elle's Hungry where she shares all of her delicious creations and wonderful photographs! We love all of Elle's recipes but this one is particularly enticing as donuts are something we really miss! Elle creates amazing vegan and gluten free recipes and we are so happy that she came up with this fluffy, tasty donut recipe as it includes two of our favourite things; peanut butter and chocolate!!

INGREDIENTS: ⁣⁣⁣⁣


DONUTS: (makes 12)⁣⁣⁣⁣

▪️ 3/4 cup buckwheat flour @mckenziesfoods ⁣⁣⁣⁣

▪️ 1/2 cup coconut sugar @nutiva⁣⁣⁣⁣

▪️ 1/4 cup cacao powder @tropeaka ⁣⁣⁣⁣

▪️ 1 1/2 tsp baking powder @mckenziesfoods ⁣⁣⁣⁣

▪️ 1/2 cup coconut yoghurt @nakulaplantbased ⁣⁣⁣⁣

▪️ 1/4 cup almond milk @almondbreezeaus ⁣⁣⁣⁣

▪️ 1 flax egg⁣⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣GLAZE:⁣⁣⁣⁣

▪️ 4 TBS peanut butter @picspeanutbutter⁣⁣⁣ ⁣

DIRECTIONS:⁣⁣⁣⁣

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees⁣⁣⁣⁣

2. Combine dry ingredients in large bowl⁣⁣⁣⁣

3. Combine wet ingredients in separate bowl⁣⁣⁣⁣

4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients⁣⁣⁣⁣

5. Pour into a well greased donut pan⁣⁣⁣⁣

6. Bake 15 min or until toothpick comes out clean⁣⁣⁣⁣

7. Once cooled add the peanut glaze and take that bite you've been waiting impatiently to take!
