Chocolate Mousse is one decadent dessert that is loved by everyone! I was super excited when Delicious & Healthy by Maya created this healthy version of one of my favourite desserts!
This mousse is made with black beans and, as such, is high in protein, rich in fibre and is full of healthy fats! It's also gluten free, vegan and refined sugar free! It's also low in calories compared to your traditional chocolate mousse, meaning you can treat yourself without feeling guilty!

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Yields: 4 x 125ml
Ingredients
2 cups cooked black beans
1/2 cup oat milk
3 tbsp roasted hazelnuts
2 tbsp melted coconut oil
3 – 4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
3 – 4 tbsp maple syrup
pinch of salt
dash of cinnamon
1 tsp lemon juice
Method:
Drain well the beans to get rid of the liquid if there’s any left after cooking. You can use canned beans just rinse them well and leave in a sieve to drain really well – to avoid the beany taste
Put them in the blender with the rest of ingredients and blend until smooth.
Store in the fridge.
Chill well before eating.
